CADISON R25 – Efficient Digitalization for Modern Plant Engineering
How to digitalize PDFs automatically, process engineering data intelligently, and implement projects faster.
With CADISON R25, vector-based P&IDs in PDF format can now be efficiently converted into intelligent P&IDs using automated import and machine learning tools. At the same time, the new Share2Review ensures fast, web-based design reviews and transparent collaboration – including graphical version comparisons and live 3D section views. Thanks to an enhanced IFC interface, BIM models can be imported and processed even more consistently. Discover these and other features that make your engineering processes faster, smarter, and easier.
Digitalize P&ID flow diagrams – without detours
Why recreate drawings when they already exist? CADISON R25 efficiently converts vector-based P&ID PDFs into intelligent CADISON P&IDs. Using semiautomated processing and machine learning, the existing geometry is transferred true to scale and converted into a database-driven model.
CADISON recognizes text, labels, and relevant information using OCR and intelligent analysis. Components and objects are identified and stored in a structured manner in the CADISON database – clean, traceable, and immediately reusable.
For you, this means:
- Existing documentation is digitalized faster
- Structured engineering data instead of static PDFs
- Shorter project start-up time and less rework
- Ideal for brownfield and revamp projects
Machine learning that makes everyday life easier
CADISON R25 uses machine learning to recognize component and equipment symbols directly from PDF geometries. Symbols become CADISON blocks, and drawing elements become real database objects. A new dialog box helps you create components and devices automatically or semi-automatically. You decide how much automation makes sense—and remain in control at all times.
Recognize pipes, create pipelines automatically
Pipes can now also be created directly from PDFs. CADISON R25 recognizes pipes and pipe markings, interprets pipe numbers, and identifies pipe routes. You can conveniently add pipe sizes, specifications, and other properties. Switching directly between the drawing and the pipeline structure ensures that you always have an overview.

Share2Review – Collaboration that Works
With Share2Review, CADISON R25 brings together all those involved in the planning process for a Plant – web-based and transparent. You can compare versions graphically, view object-based changes in the browser, and work with live section views of 3D models. Comments, replies, and file attachments ensure clear coordination, while new issue lists provide a structured overview of all comments and replies across the entire project.
Optimized upload and synchronization processes as well as improved PDF redlining workflows make reviews faster and easier – no matter where your team is working.
Interfaces that combine data from different systems
The enhanced IFC interface imports IFC systems as logical CADISON structures, automatically generates pipelines, and creates native CADISON objects instead of generic data. This ensures that BIM models remain consistent and can be seamlessly processed further.
When importing CAD and Autodesk Inventor data, 3D geometries can be linked directly to existing CADISON objects. Even the assignment of connections to existing nozzles is possible directly within the import dialog – ensuring a consistent, clean database.
